The Vrakuna project demonstrates how a terrace and pool can be seamlessly connected into one functional outdoor space without visual interruptions, with a strong focus on detail. The composite decking flows naturally from the terrace to the pool area and continues onto the balcony, creating a unified exterior that feels clean, modern, and cohesive. The result is a space that is not only visually appealing but also highly practical for everyday use and relaxation.
A key aspect of the project was adapting the structure to different types of substrates. The terrace built on a concrete base was leveled using spacers and then anchored with an aluminum substructure using through bolts. On the balcony with a fatrafol waterproofing layer, it was not possible to penetrate the insulation, so a self supporting aluminum double frame was used. The connection of the profiles was solved using an aluminum to aluminum system and complemented with a height adjustable grid for precise leveling of the entire surface.
Composite decking boards T138 combined with a narrower T73 profile create a dynamic visual effect through alternating widths. The installation direction was designed along the house and pool, visually extending the space and emphasizing clean lines. The result is a modern poolside terrace that combines design, functionality, and a low maintenance solution into one cohesive outdoor environment.
