Decking boards and composite decking

Timbermax decking boards are designed for contemporary garden terraces and decks beside the house, where a natural wood appearance, stable construction and low routine surface maintenance are priorities. TIMBERMAX EXOTIC WPC is supplied as a complete system with a suitable substructure and professional installation.

Timbermax WPC decking – custom installation

A turnkey deck installation depends on the profile, base, aluminium substructure, expansion allowance, drainage and edge detailing working together. The result is composite decking that complements the house and is engineered for long-term exterior use.

Our reference projects show Timbermax decking boards in different profiles, shades and laying patterns. The final result depends not only on colour, but also on the base, substructure and detailing.

Common questions about WPC decking

When choosing composite decking, appearance is only one factor. Lifespan, maintenance, material stability and correct installation are equally important.

What is WPC decking?

WPC decking is an exterior decking system made from wood-plastic composite, combining a wood-based component with polymer. Unlike conventional timber, it does not require regular oiling or painting and is designed for long-term outdoor use.

How long does quality WPC decking last?

Service life depends on material composition, profile construction, UV stability, substructure quality and correct installation. A high-quality WPC system is designed for long-term use without the regular surface treatment typically required by timber.

Is WPC decking maintenance-free?

WPC decking does not require oiling or regular repainting. Routine care mainly consists of cleaning with water and removing dirt according to the level of use and environmental conditions.

Is WPC more expensive than timber?

The initial price of high-quality WPC can be higher than that of lower-cost timber decking. A long-term comparison should also include the cost of coatings, oils, regular maintenance and the possible replacement of damaged timber components.

Further information

Thanks to their distinctive appearance, documented technical parameters and low-maintenance surface, Timbermax composite boards are a suitable material for use in the construction industry in places where wood is too difficult to maintain and unprofitable as a suitable investment in the long term.

Timbermax brings patio owners a new dimension of maintenance-free thanks to the high resistance of the profile surface to common dirt, in addition to the real back wood. No dirt will seep into the material thanks to the abrasion-resistant Protect Shell surface protection layer. The plate is also protected from contamination from problem foods and beverages such as meat grease, beetroot, red wine, coffee and so on. After soiling the patio during a barbecue with friends, you can wait until they go home and then clean the patio by simply rinsing with water. For wooden terraces and terraces made of conventional wood-plastic boards, the manufacturers recommend washing the soiled area immediately with a detergent solution and rinsing with water. We consider this one of the less popular activities during a barbecue with friends. However, even after immediate cleaning, the flakes do not immediately disappear from the patio. You need to wait a few days for the sunlight to dry them out of the material. It is considerably worse on roofed terraces without access to sunlight - the flakes remain and the terrace boards have to be thoroughly scrubbed, sometimes even sanded, every time. This, however, reveals the original, unweathered colour shade on the surface.

Terraces built from Timbermax boards are designed for people who don't want to worry about the annual maintenance of wooden boards. They are designed for people who value their time and money. This is because they realise that an initially larger investment will pay off in the long run and eventually come back. The cost of maintaining wooden exterior surfaces is often more than the cost of the patio itself years later.

Safety and comfort first

Timbermax WPC decking boards are designed to be safe and comfortable to use. Their surface finish is skid-resistant, which reduces the risk of injury, especially in wet weather. Plus, the composite material is chip-free, meaning you don't have to worry about unpleasant injuries when walking barefoot. Although WPC boards do overheat slightly in the summer months, this difference in temperature is minimal and most users move around the patio in shoes, eliminating any discomfort.

Wide range of applications and easy maintenance

Timbermax WPC patio boards offer a wide range of applications. They are ideal not only for terraces at houses, but also for commercial spaces such as restaurants, hotels or public parks. Their durability and easy maintenance make Timbermax the ideal choice for anyone looking for a reliable and aesthetically pleasing patio material.

Choose Timbermax and invest in quality that will give you long-lasting satisfaction and enjoyable moments on your patio. Timbermax - the revolutionary solution for modern terraces

When choosing a patio material, it is not only the design that matters, but also the durability and ease of maintenance. Timbermax composite decking boards are designed to withstand everyday wear and tear and extreme weather conditions. Their solid construction ensures high resistance to mechanical damage such as scratches or deformations caused by temperature fluctuations. Unlike wooden alternatives, they do not require regular oiling or sanding, saving you time and maintenance costs. With Timbermax boards, you not only get a beautiful but also an extremely durable patio that will retain its appearance for a long time.

By choosing Timbermax patio boards you also contribute to the protection of the environment. Composite boards are manufactured with ecology in mind, using recycled materials and minimising waste. This sustainable production ensures that your patio is not only beautiful and functional, but also environmentally friendly.

Overheating patio slabs in the summer heat

Due to the inferior quality of WPC boards, which have been offered on the Slovak market for decades, some customers, upon first contact with Timbermax boards, develop fears of overheating of WPC profiles in the summer heat. Testing and comparing the profiles over the years of working with this material shows the following.

Compared to hardwood in a similarly dark finish, the temperature difference with the timbermax profile is a maximum of 5-7 °C. This is a surface temperature that can only be perceived by touch or contact with the bare skin of the body surface. In practice, this means that it is possible to walk barefoot across the terrace but not to stand in one place for long periods of time.

The heated WPC patio panels cool down a moment after the clouds arrive or the awning is opened. However, they will never feel cold to the touch like stone or ceramic. Outside of the summer heat, the thermal properties of Timbermax profiles are an advantage on terraces. Timbermax flooring is already inviting to the touch under the soft March light and is not unpleasantly cool like stone or ceramic.
